I'm very grateful to Tim Laundry, he gave me the permission to use his beautiful image "The Manor" for my purpose. Kat looked my first draughts and encouraged me to work further in this image. I also owe to her the title.

Gary made me with threats to work so long on these image until there was nothing more to improve. No, seriously, he gave me the push in the right direction and supports me with valuable tips.

Created with Ultra Fractal and Sprite. It was the first time that I tried these new tool. I added the Manor, the birds and the traveler with Sprite.

No postwork except for the titel.

All comments are very welcome and much appreciated.

wow.... this is simply amazing! There is so much details and so much beauty! I would love to buy a print (if you made one) if I had the money.. Ill keep this picture in mind when I get some money though. I love it

With several more ridges to climb the weary traveller wasn't sure he would make it to the manor before the violent storm struck. He eyed the circling birds and wondered if this was another omen of his recent ill luck or perhaps a sign that things would soon change for the better.
